DJI Mavic Mini QuickShot Modes – Fly hands free 🖐
DJI Mavic Mini QuickShot modes: Test footage.
So far the #DJI #MavicMini has 4 modes called QuickShot. These allow you to let the drone fly on autopilot capturing you acting normal (not holding a remote and waiving). So far we have the Dronie QuickShot, the Circle QuickShot, the Helix QuickShot and the Rocket.
The Dronie flys away from the subject on a upward 45 degree to reveal the landscape behind you. It’s basically like a close up shot to a birds eye looking down at you capturing the horizon with it.
The Circle QuickShot is for close shots. Like a basketball player taking practice shots, or you doing anything really. It’ll fly left or right (you decide) and it starts recording and it does a full 360 keeping your the middle. You can set the height and distance too.
The Helix is a combination of both (the circle and the 45 degree Dronie) it’ll fly a circle around you but at the same time spiral up to the sky. This is great for showing everything around you while the camera stays locked on you as the pivot point. Once done it comes back to the starting point automatically.
The Rocket QuickShot basically hovers right over you and takes off straight up like a rocket. This is a explosive way to show the earth below and capture whatever it is you’re doing.
Wouldn’t it be cool if we could program our own way points? What other QuickShots will DJI be releasing in the next update?
I purchased the “DJI Mavic Mini Fly More Combo” because it comes with 3 batteries. U use the 1st battery to test flight and scope the shots and location. The next 2 give me the time needed to comfortably get the shots. What you see in this video was a poor overcast day and my 1st flight… so I was off on the exposure. That said… this thing is amazing for quick shots around you and the “set”. This drone is a game changer for content creators.
